Crafted by Guerlain perfumer Delphine Jelk, Ambre Samar is a chiaroscuro composition that draws you into a lunar eclipse of scent: almond and frankincense swirl with cardamom, while amber, tonka, and patchouli ground the musky shimmer of Guerlain’s own ambergris tincture.

Ambre Samar is not a quiet amber. It’s a warm, flickering trail of light in the dark—amber illuminated by a red moon. It opens with a sparkling lift—almost a fizzy, golden concoction—before melting into honeyed amber, warm woods, and soft minerals.

It’s an amber that shimmers and dances—its opening feels like golden spice rising in fizzy amber light, much like the bubbles suspended in liquid heat in the image below.
