💮 25. A Scented Letter: Ave María — Pear, Gardenia & Sangría

You must love white flowers to enjoy House of Bō Ave María.

I do—especially gardenia—but so many gardenia scents fall short. Too screechy, too vintage, or just flat. Ave María isn’t groundbreaking, but it lands somewhere soft and quietly radiant. A fruity-floral with a gentle glow.

The gardenia is smoothed by pear and a flicker of neroli—fresh and lightly juicy without turning sharp. There’s a brightness to it that reminds me of white sangria: fizzy, golden, slightly sweet, and full of floral warmth.

Ave María isn’t complex, but it’s easy to wear and lovely in its simplicity. A scent for those drawn to creamy white florals and soft light—perfect for spring and summer days.

💮 The Experience of Ave María
A breeze through sunlit petals.
White florals in golden light.
A cooling moment, soft and luminous like ripples on water.

Try this:
Spray on pulse points—early in the day or late afternoon.
Let it settle into skin like light through glass.

With kindness,
🕊 Flor at Nectar Atelier

For something equally soft, Guerlain Spiritueuse Double Vanille offers golden warmth—boozy vanilla laced with incense and delicate woods, while Guerlain Gourmand Coquin wraps rose, cacao, and black tea in a swirl of spices—decadent yet tender. Amouage Guidance 46 is a bit brighter than the original Amouage Guidance, where pear, saffron, and rose unfold over rich woods and ambergris. Dries Van Noten Soie Malaquais lingers with notes of blackcurrant, rose, and hazelnut—a silky composition that feels both luminous with a gourmand touch. And for a rare, luminous quietude, Amouage Existence glows with skin-warmed florals, aldehydes, and serene radiance—weightless but unforgettable.
