🌸 45. Guidance & Guidance 46 – Rose, Pear Jam & Cream

I didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as the original, but it surprised me. Where Amouage Guidance is bold and expressive—rose, spice, and presence—Amouage Guidance 46 moves in a gentler rhythm. It feels like the memory of a warm day lingering on skin—softer, rounder, and more fluid. It wears closer to the skin, quietly glowing with softened edges and a sheer brightness that feels perfect for summer.

Created by Quentin Bisch for Amouage, Guidance 46 distills the richness of the original into something more sheer and luminous. The pear note is still here, only riper and more golden—stewed gently in late light. The rose is clearer too, more tender, as if steeped in rosewater. A quiet spice drifts beneath, but it never overtakes.

What I love most is the drydown: creamy woods, luminous vanilla, and a breath of ambergris. It carries a quiet radiance—soft, fluid, and tender.

It’s the one I reach for when I want beauty without weight. Like walking barefoot through the last light of day—petals in the air, with a whole body smile.

🌸 The Experience of Guidance 46
Golden pear and rose sparkle.
Petals warmed by sun.
A calm that lingers on skin.

Try Zouzou by Celine if you are drawn to nostalgic scents that feel like a golden cloud. For something equally soft,  Guerlain Spiritueuse Double Vanille offers golden warmth—boozy vanilla laced with incense and delicate woods, while Guerlain Gourmand Coquin wraps rose, cacao, and black tea in a swirl of spices—decadent yet tender. Amouage Guidance 46 is a bit brighter than the original Amouage Guidance, where pear, saffron, and rose unfold over rich woods and ambergris. Dries Van Noten Soie Malaquais lingers with notes of blackcurrant, rose, and hazelnut—a silky composition that feels both luminous with a gourmand touch. And for a rare, luminous composition, Amouage Existence glows with skin-warmed florals, aldehydes, and serene radiance—weightless but unforgettable. If you are in the mood for a sparkling rose with dewy petals, try Little Flower by Régime des Fleurs.
