🍨 33. Not Plain Vanilla: 7 More Scents That Reimagine a beloved note

In Focus ID 4972 by daniel farò

👋 Hello fragrance friend,

Following our Poetry in Bloom 7 Scented Letter—where we explored nine green, textured vanillas—I’m delighted to share a few beloved favorites along with a handful of new, limited official samples from our small but mighty Nectar Atelier collection.

These aren’t plain vanillas—each pairs vanilla with something unexpected: florals, musk, oud, or spice. Some are airy and soft, others rich and bold—but all wear beautifully in warmer months. Together, they show just how multifaceted vanilla can be, from comforting to intoxicating. Photo above: "In Focus" by Daniel Farò

For something equally soft, Guerlain Spiritueuse Double Vanille offers golden warmth—boozy vanilla laced with incense and delicate woods, while Guerlain Gourmand Coquin wraps rose, cacao, and black tea in a swirl of spices—decadent yet tender. Amouage Guidance 46 is a bit brighter than the original Amouage Guidance, where pear, saffron, and rose unfold over rich woods and ambergris. Dries Van Noten Soie Malaquais lingers with notes of blackcurrant, rose, and hazelnut—a silky composition that feels both luminous with a gourmand touch. And for a rare, luminous quietude, Amouage Existence glows with skin-warmed florals, aldehydes, and serene radiance—weightless but unforgettable.
