There’s something transportive about Guerlain Spiritueuse Double Vanille. Inspired by distant journeys and spices carried across the sea, it wraps aged Madagascar vanilla in a veil of rum, cedarwood, and soft florals.

What makes it special is the contrast: the opening is boozy and warm, yet never dense. A whisper of jasmine and ylang-ylang add a barely-there floral lift, softening the peppered edge. Although sweet, this is vanilla rendered expansive, never syrupy. A cocoon of golden light that is softly diffused and close to the skin.
