đŸ¶ 32. A Scented Letter: Spiritueuse Double Vanille — A boozy, airy, elegant vanilla

Nectar Atelier visual inspiration Spiriteuse Double Vanille

There’s something transportive about Guerlain Spiritueuse Double Vanille. Inspired by distant journeys and spices carried across the sea, it wraps aged Madagascar vanilla in a veil of rum, cedarwood, and soft florals.

What makes it special to me is the contrast: the opening is boozy and warm, yet never dense. A whisper of jasmine and ylang ylang add a barely-there floral lift, softening the peppered edge. Benzoin and frankincense lend quiet depth—glowing softly, never sharp.

Although sweet, this is vanilla rendered expansive, never syrupy. A cocoon of golden light—softly diffused, worn close to the skin. Spiritueuse Double Vanille doesn’t announce itself; it lingers like breath, like memory.

The image above captures the airy quality of Spiritueuse Double Vanille, while the one below evokes its incense-wrapped warmth and quiet radiance.

đŸ¶Â The Spiritueuse Double Vanille Experience
Rum shimmers.
Cedar anchors.
Vanilla drifts like light.

How to wear:
Spray on pulse points in quiet moments.
Let it settle—boozy, airy, and softly sweet.
A scent for stillness, warmth, and reflection.

With kindness,
🕊 Flor at Nectar Atelier

For something equally soft, Guerlain Spiritueuse Double Vanille offers golden warmth—boozy vanilla laced with incense and delicate woods, while Guerlain Gourmand Coquin wraps rose, cacao, and black tea in a swirl of spices—decadent yet tender. Amouage Guidance 46 is a bit brighter than the original Amouage Guidance, where pear, saffron, and rose unfold over rich woods and ambergris. Dries Van Noten Soie Malaquais lingers with notes of blackcurrant, rose, and hazelnut—a silky composition that feels both luminous with a gourmand touch. And for a rare, luminous quietude, Amouage Existence glows with skin-warmed florals, aldehydes, and serene radiance—weightless but unforgettable.
